Our assistant professor Masashi Minamdie received the early career award (so called Yamamoto award) from the Meteorological Society of Japan for his research on the all-sky satellite radiance assimilation for the improvement of numerical prediction of severe weather events.
Our master student, Mr. Kageyama (graduated on Mar. 2020), received the Koi Furuichi award, which is the best master dissertation award in the Dept. of Civil Engineering, The University of Tokyo.

The Hydraulic Engineering Committee in Japan Society of Civil Engineering gave the 28th Young Researcher Award to Ms. Chinami Yamagami (Kawasaki lab).The title of the paper is “Evacuation support measures considering the effect of reducing human damage at facilities for the elderly at the time of large-scale floods”. This award is given to two or three young excellent researchers in the annual collection of Journal of Hydraulic Engineering.
